Hello,
A quick note to the Swedish OJS Network to remind about upcoming OJS events
at PKP 2019, our 7th International Scholarly Publishing Conference. I know
this is a busy time of year, with many events happening at the same time -
that said, I do hope we can meet and get to know some of our Swedish
colleagues in Spain. Here's a recap of what's happening the week of
November 18-22, 2019 at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona in Cerdanyola
del Vallès, Spain.
*UAB Sprint (Nov 18-19)*
This is a free, two-day event before the conference. If you're not familiar
with PKP sprints, check out our recent blog post here
<https://pkp.sfu.ca/2019/10/21/pkp-2019-registration-open-for-uab-sprint/>.
Conference registration is not required - you can come to just the sprint
if you'd like. Includes coffee breaks, lunch both days, and a complementary
dinner on Day 1. To register:
https://pkp.sfu.ca/uab-sprint-2019/. *Space
is limited - sprint registration closes November 8.*
*OJS Workshops <http://pkpbcn19.net/#block-views-block-works-block-1> (Nov
20)*
We are pleased to be offering four pre-conference OJS workshops in English
(plus two in Spanish). Conference registration is required. Attendees can
select one workshop in the morning and one in the afternoon.
*Conference (Nov 21-22)*
We're still finalizing the program but you can find a draft and complete
list of our presenters online here
<https://conference.pkp.sfu.ca/index.php/pkp2019/pkp2019/schedConf/registration>.
Registration, including pre-conference workshops and our evening reception,
is just $310 USD. *Conference registration closes November 15. *
If you have any comments or questions about PKP 2019 please do not hesitate
to contact me. And if possible, please share this with OJS colleagues
around the world - we're hoping this to be our biggest and best gathering
yet. Be sure to follow us on Twitter (@pkp / #pkpbcn19) and Facebook
(@publicknowledgeproject).
Sincerely,
--
