GitHub review There were new releases for both Satosa (two) and pySAML2. a. Satosa - https://github.com/IdentityPython/SATOSA <https://github.com/IdentityPython/SATOSA> Expect a new docker image. Tests also fixed. New merge requests for logging. Will be looking at scopes shortly, based on a PR from Scott. After this will be looking at PR 280 (from the NTW Hackathon). This will replace another option previously used by eIDAS. Expect a new release in the next few weeks. There is a collaboration between eduTEAMS, GRNET, and KIT, that will create a new OIDC front end for Satosa. There was also a fix on how we select the bindings. Added support for IPv6 addresses enclosed in brackets. OIDC federation 1.0 draft updates 45 day review period has been announced. "We’ve published draft 10 of the OpenID Connect Federation Specification <https://openid.net/specs/openid-connect-federation-1_0-10.html> and started the 45-day review period for the proposed second Implementer’s Draft of the specification. This will be the version used for the hackathon at the Internet2 Technology Exchange <https://meetings.internet2.edu/2019-technology-exchange/> next month.” Voting closed on 11 November 2019 One area of concern is that the different areas of interest (e.g., higher ed vs commercial) are not aware of each other’s work One individual on the commercial side wants to see more trust and ad hoc federation put directly in the hands of the user, such that they could define trust and decide if they want to trust others. This may be something that can be built later on top of the existing proposal. Rescheduling the call?

Hola a todos! On the call on 29 October, we talked about some changes for the 12 November call. We could either: a) find someone else to run the call (Ivan is not available) b) move the call out one week (so we have a call on 19 November and then back to our usual schedule on 26 November) c) cancel the 12 November call and have our next meeting on 26 November. Releases for pysaml2 and satosa

Hello everyone, new releases are out for pysaml2 and satosa. Check the respective changelogs: - pysaml2 is now on version v4.9.0 https://github.com/IdentityPython/pysaml2/releases/tag/v4.9.0 - and satosa is on version v4.5.0. https://github.com/IdentityPython/SATOSA/releases/tag/v4.5.0 Next versions of both will assume python 3.7 or greater. This comes in line with the latest stable Debian release - Debian 10 (a.k.a. buster) uses Python 3 "3.7.2" as the python3 executable. (Reference: https://www.debian.org/News/2019/20190706) This also means that we are starting the process to drop support for python2 for pysaml2 (satosa was always python3-only.) More releases will be coming soon for both projects as more pull requests are merged and issues are ironed out.
