The presentation will cover conceptual foundations, theoretical frameworks, salient practices and core values, concluding with a seven-point organisation development agenda for academic libraries. A vision will be drawn on social integration and the need for social contact among students in the future. Rudolf Mumenthaler will also share some experiences from the newly founded University Library Zurich and how the relations and networking have developed with the university, the staff, and the students.
