Hi Sagun,
Thank you for the suggestion on this possible event. It is indeed a nice idea but there
are some limitations we should consider.
Here are my thoughts on this aspect to consider.
- Since this event is for the teachers specifically who did activities in Y1 (very few)
and Y2, I wonder if we know that they are able to participate. A two days-four hours event
during morning hours is very demanding for a teacher to participate and make a
presentation of 15 minutes, receiving questions. Do we have a number of the teachers
engaged in Y2 who can do it? And if not, what is the plan? Can it be that we as
researchers collect their input/experience and present it? Would this be enough/good?
For example, from the many interventions in Norway, I can only think of 1 teacher/student
who would possibly be able to do it only going me a favour and this is not guaranteed and
only to possibly participate for a couple of hours. In order to get what we want from the
teachers, we accommodate all their needs, like visit them at the school and meet them only
when they tell us they are available.
But if you know that from the other countries there are teachers who will do it, of course
go ahead. And maybe you have already some policy stakeholders informally invited that are
available these dates?
-Another idea is to have a place on the website that has a specific format, like a
platform that we suggest to teachers to share their experiences anonymously or not about
the implementation of DT projects at schools. This can be in relation to sharing the
activity plans already implemented that we were thinking about earlier.
Best,
Sofia

Hello everyone,
Could we combine the tasks? Let's integrate activities related to the
toolkit into this 2-day event. It makes sense that we use feedback/input
for the toolkit from teachers that have actually implemented a DT project,
doesn't it?
So, instead of having a 2 4-hour sessions where teachers present, we
allocate some time in presentations/discussions on projects (or less) and
some time in discussing about how teachers would evaluate the process and
what kind of tools could the toolkit include (or, in case there is a draft
version of the toolkit until then, we can ask teachers to give feedback).
What do you think?
Best,
Christina
Hello Jake,
Thanks for your response.
The KPI this can feed into is ‘Present the results at policy events or
meetings’ provided we invite policy stakeholders as well to listen to some
of these teachers. These policy stakeholders can listen to some authentic
stories by these participants (hopefully positive) and understand the
significance of embedding design thinking project supported by
technologies in pedagogy. For this, we should invite some of the policy
stakeholders in specific sessions. As suggested, I have added this to the
Gantt Chart. If everyone is happy with this event, we are ready to lead.
Best,
Sagun

Dear Sagun,
I just wonder about the timing of this activity. We will need to engage
with teachers to provide feedback and engage in a number of activities in
the coming months (WP2 Framework, WP3 PD Co-Design, WP7 teacher evaluation
toolkit etc.) not to mention other milestones that need to be completed in
the coming 2 months. Could this get added to the Gantt
chart<https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/15Fjl67DP1M1GEU3U6uPjOTxcyB…
<https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/15Fjl67DP1M1GEU3U6uPjOTxcyBt9_JIoznhFIeJO-J8/edit?usp=sharing>
and prioritised alongside the other activities (particularly those that
require teacher input) and what deliverable/KPI this is feeding in to? We
are asking a lot of some of these teachers and as discussed at the meeting
it's important we try to make that activity and ask explicit and
viable/realistic.
Kind regards,

Hello Everyone,
I hope you are keeping well.
As discussed briefly in TCD meeting (also in the OU meeting), can we
organise an event (either of one or two days) in which we will bring
teacher participants participated in the Exten(DT)2 project up until now
from all countries together to make them share their experiences?
The purpose of this event will be to:
* Create a multi-country platform for teachers to share their
learnings from participating in the Exten(DT)2 project;
* Record their experiences and suggestions that can be helpful
resources to support Y3 implementation; and
* Engage teachers in a post-implementation activity which can function
as a stimulated recall to trigger them to further implement DT project
in their classroom settings independently.
And of course, this will help us in reporting around sustainability as we
are not leaving teachers after they implement but we are following them up
and helping them to build a wider teachers network.
For this, I propose the dates as 28th and 29th November, Thursday, and
Friday (maybe of a 4-hour session each day)
We can ask each one to share their experiences in 15 minutes which will be
followed by 10 minutes Q and A.
The proposed time is between 10 am and 3 pm UK time .
I am populating ideas here:
https://docs.google.com/document/d/1aJh0FMT6Y5-93gtaXfwcoqjh8rUxvUWhkcgvygw….
Any suggestions are welcome! And, finally thanks Marcelo for this
brilliant idea.
I am looking forward to hearing from you!
Best,
Sagun
