We know that collaboration drives innovation. So many great inventions are the result of combining existing ideas through work together. And in uncertain times, this is as essential for the library field as for our world as a whole. WLIC is therefore all about partnering for the future, as the global library field meets to share perspectives and explore how we can ensure that our institutions, and the communities they serve, thrive in the years to come. We will be presenting a programme full of exciting sessions and outstanding speakers in order to maximise these possibilities. Our President’s session will bring together top figures from culture and climate action in order to discuss how libraries can form new alliances with other stakeholders. Our President-elect’s session will give an opportunity to work together to identify key trends suggested by the library leaders of the future. There is so much more. Our programme of over 150 sessions built by the biggest brains trust in the library field – our professional units – guarantees that everyone participating will have the chance to learn, grow, and expand their horizons. And of course, thanks to our virtual format and the exceptionally low cost of tickets, more people than ever before will be able to join us to address, collectively, the challenges and opportunities our field faces.
