Registration is now open for the International Conference on Performance
Measurement in Libraries!
This biennial conference brings together practitioners, researchers,
educators and students interested in all aspects of performance measurement
in library and information services in any context. This year the
conference will take place on 11-13 July 2023, in an entirely online
format. It will run synchronously afternoon UK/European time and mornings
US Eastern time to accommodate attendees from a broad range of time zones.
We recognise these are not the most convenient times for those in Australia
and New Zealand, but recordings will be made available for asynchronous
viewing shortly after the live sessions. We are happy to facilitate
connecting you with others in your time zone.
To register, please visit:
https://libraryperformance.org/. The regular
delegate registration fee is £50. Registration is free for those who would
otherwise be unable to attend due to cost.
We thank our sponsors without whom the conference would not be possible:
EBSCO-Panorama <https://www.ebsco.com/products/panorama> (gold
sponsor) and PTFS
Europe <https://www.ptfs-europe.com/> (silver sponsor).
The conference provides a mix of invited speakers, contributed papers,
lightning talks and panel sessions. It is designed to stimulate discussion,
provide ideas for measuring and improving library and information service
performance, and develop new concepts and techniques to advance the field.
Weare delighted to confirm Dr Julie Todaro and Ms Ramona Naicker as our
2023 keynote speakers
<https://libraryperformance.org/2023-keynote-speakers/>. There will be 45
presentations from a dozen countries covering a range of topics, including

About the conference
LibPMC brings together practitioners, researchers, educators and students
interested in all aspects of performance measurement in library and
information services in any context. The goal of library performance
measurement and assessment is to understand how well a library or
information service is meeting stakeholder needs, with the aim of driving
improvement. Key features of library performance measurement include a
focus on the needs of stakeholders and communities, actively using
qualitative and quantitative data to improve services and the user
experience, and communicating the results and outcomes of assessment
activities.
Past conferences have provided a mix of invited speakers, contributed
papers and workshops designed to stimulate discussion, provide ideas for
measuring and improving library performance, and develop new concepts and
techniques to advance the field. The conference is the longest-running
conference on this subject and is truly international, welcoming
participants from all countries.

proceedings, are available on our website:
