Hi, We're pleased to promote the following webinar on Peer Assisted Learning (PAL) in Math, taking place on Wednesday 20th March 2-3pm (UK time): ************** Using Peer Assisted Learning to support first-year Maths modules in Engineering and Physical Sciences Nicola Allett and Pinar Ozbeser, Aston University, UK This presentation focuses on a Peer Assisted Learning scheme implemented at Aston University to support first-year undergraduate Maths modules in Engineering and Physical Sciences. We will discuss the main features of the scheme and how it was introduced and evaluated using a Maths diagnostic tool. We will then present our initial analysis, which indicates that PAL has a positive impact on student outcomes (learning gain) when students are highly engaged in PAL.
