Uninett update

Hi,
Here comes a short update from Uninett.
In the past two weeks we were working with Ishavslink (Owner of the DWDM ring in Finnmark) and Transmode to finalize the "bill of materials" for the Utsjok OADM.
On Thursday 7th of April we ordered the equipment and Transmode has confirmed that they will deliver the equipment by the end of May.
According to the plan the upgrading of Utsjok node will happen on Jun 16th. Then we have to connect the 10G link from Alta to Narvik, and this will be done within June/July. With summer vacation time in mind the UNINETT part of TUNDRA ring should be ready for service by end of August. It means that we are ready one month earlier than we decided under Tundra kickoff meeting.
