SI-PASS Fika
The European Centre for SI-PASS (Lund University) is pleased to announce the first online SI-PASS FIKA this spring semester for supervisors and leaders on 13th of February between 1-2 pm UK-time / 2-3 pm CET. The zoom-link to the fika is: https://lu-se.zoom.us/j/4630658731 . The theme of the Fika will be ‘Gamification: creation and implementation (in SI-PASS)’. The event will be hosted by Emma Mansfield from University of Southampton and Marieke Ohl from Queen Margaret University in Edinburgh.
(An SI-PASS FIKA is an informal get together over a cup of coffee/tea and a cinnamon bun (last item not mandatory). The FIKA is free of charge and provides a chance to talk about SI-PASS related issues or just have a chat with SI-PASS friends).
In order to have relevant themes for fikas later in spring we would like you as SI-PASS practitioners to suggest topics (and if you are willing to host the event). At latest two weeks before each fika. Suggestions can be sent to si-pass(a)stu.lu.se<mailto:si-pass@stu.lu.se> or to Joakim Malm directly (mail address below).

Hello,
At the Middle East Technical University (Cyprus Campus) we have been doing a study on implementing SI to support English (or second) language learning/learners. We are wondering if there are any (current/previous) SI implementations of this kind elsewhere? Any insights or leads will be greatly appreciated!
Furthermore, we are wondering if there are any SI programs that instead of employing Leaders run the program within the scope of a course (e.g., Community Service Practice, Service Learning, Practicum, Internship, etc.)?
If you would like to share your experiences, please contact any of the below directly:
Eda Sun - edasun(a)metu.edu.tr<mailto:edasun@metu.edu.tr>
Ali Fuad Selvi - afselvi(a)gmail.com<mailto:afselvi@gmail.com>

Kind regards,
