[Mailfilter-ng] Fwd: Update regarding major service interruption with Cyren anti-spam

This is an update regarding the major service interruption which occurred on 15 Sep 2022 as a result of Cyren anti-spam false positives. The cause of the issue was a proactive pattern meant to address an ongoing spam outbreak which was mistakenly published as a blocking rule before it had been fully validated. The automatic removal of the faulty pattern was also delayed due to the high load it caused on the system which detects this. After analysing this incident Cyren has taken a number of steps to prevent this from happening in the future such as improving the publishing process to prevent patterns from being published as blocking rules by mistake and improve the performance of the system which handles the automatic removal of faulty patterns during high load.
