Varmt välkomna till LOA-Syd-träff, som blir i vårfina Alnarp den 8 april, lokal Slottet, Stora Sessionssalen.
Program kommer lite senare, men här är hålltiderna:
9.30 – 10.00 Fika och småprat för den som vill
10.00 – 11.45 Presentationer
11.45 – 13.00 Lunch till självkostnadspris i Alnarps restaurang. Promenad i Alnarpsparken om väder och tid tillåter.
13. 00 – 14.30 Diskussioner
14.30 – 15.00 Avslutande fika med småprat för den som vill
Skånetrafiken har goda kommunikationer till hållplats Campus Alnarp (Buss från Lund eller Malmö) och station Åkarp (tåg från Lund C eller Malmö C). Närmare vägbeskrivning kommer i nästa mejl!

LundOnline 2024 - Turning policy into practice
The programme for the conference is all set and we're confident it will be inspiring days! We're pleased to announce our two keynote speakers Ulrich Herb and Arwid Lund. They along with a handful of panel sessions will treat us all with new insights and hopefully some fruitful discussions. Turning policy into practice - opportunities and consequences for stakeholders in scholarly communication
Policies and guidelines on scholarly communication from national and European entities that address the access to scholarly outputs are abundant. Goals presented on a policy level are becoming increasingly harmonized. LundOnline 2024 explores the intersection between policies and guidelines on the one hand, and publishers, academic institutions, and libraries on the other, and examples of implementations from guiding documents. Themes include:
* The interplay between levels of policy and guideline initiatives in the open access publishing area.
* Pathways to sustainable university publishing and digital publication platforms
* Author rights & open licensing strategies
* Policies and publishers - the transition to an open scholarly communication landscape
* Responsible research assessment and open access publishing

We are pleased to invite you to LundOnline 2024 which will take place at Lund City Hall<https://stadshallen.se/> in the centre of Lund. LundOnline is a conference, from lunch the 22nd to lunch the 24th, arranged by Lund University Library, aimed at college and university librarians and invited publishers. We hope to see participants from all the Nordic countries, which has been the case in previous years.
Turning policy into practice - opportunities and consequences for stakeholders in scholarly communication
Policies and guidelines on scholarly communication that address the access to scholarly outputs are abundant. Goals presented on a policy level are becoming increasingly harmonized. LundOnline 2024 explores the intricate processes of how publishers, academic institutions, and libraries implement guidelines and policy frameworks in scholarly communication practices. Tentative themes include different actors' engagement with policy initiatives, non-profit publishing, publishing platforms, copyright, and licensing. The conference will aim to create a dialogue between the different stakeholders within the field.
Would you like to contribute?
Please contact us if you would like to share your experiences on topics related to the description above. We are eager to include a diversity of formats and speakers and this year we aim to achieve an even balance between speakers representing libraries, publishers and publishing initiatives.

Stort tack till alla deltagare på veckans LOA-sydträff!
Representanter från Halmstad, BTH, MAU, SLU och LU närvarade. Diskussionerna rörde bland annat exempel från lärosätenas arbete med öppen vetenskap, finansiering av OA-böcker och problematiken kring dyra eböcker. Bifogat hittar ni minnesanteckningar. Tack till Aron Lindhagen och Helena Stjernberg Tagesson (MAU) som sammanställt dessa.
MAU skickar även med Aron och Helenas presentation rörande MAUs kartläggning av finansiärers inställning till finansiering av öppet tillgängliga böcker samt Helenas och Karin Sedvalls lägesbeskrivning av öppen vetenskap på MAU. Vill ni andra som presenterade dela era PPT får ni gärna skicka dem i den här mailtråden. Under min presentation av UB i Lunds projekt Bevarade och tillgängliga databaser visade jag mjukvaran Heurist<https://heuristnetwork.org/>. Jag har ingen PPT att dela men har ni frågor eller vill veta mer om Heurist eller projektet är ni varmt välkomna att kontakta mig.
Nästa LOA-Syd kommer att anordnas av SLU, som återkommer med inbjudan och agenda för nästa års träff. Vi ser fram emot att besöka er i Alnarp!
