The message in English below
Anna
Dear all,
A while ago, I forwarded an email about the course "Theories in Library and Information Science" at Oslo Metropolitan University. The schedule of this course meant that other PhD courses needed to be rescheduled and, in turn, that we will have to reschedule the doctoral writing retreat from 6-7 October to the 25-26 October. More information about location, travel arrangements, registration etc. will be sent out in August - but please note these new dates in your calendars.
Wishing you all a nice summer break,
Anna

Dear all,
Please find attached the Call for Papers for the next issue of Tidskrift för ABM. Deadline: 10 October 2022. Please direct any questions or comments to me.
Those of you who are teaching, please spread the information to your students and encourage them to submit.
In addition, we really appreciate it if you would spread this CFP further within your networks. Do consider submitting a piece yourself, as well.
Information for authors is available on the TABM website<https://www.abm.uu.se/research/publications/tidskrift-for-abm/authorguideli…>, including a description of the submission type 'reviews' that we introduced in the 2021 issue. We hope this to be a low-barrier way for you or your students to reflect on any type of media (e.g. a book, exhibition, software, film) and its purpose, use, or meaning to our respective academic field(s). We welcome critical reflections on both academic and popular (re)sources.
Thank you for spreading the word!
Best wishes,
Ida

Dear LIS colleagues!
This is to inform you all that in autumn 2022 there will be a new round of the popular PhD course "Theories in Library and Information Science" at Oslo Metropolitan University. The course comes with two options, as it can either be 5 ECTS or 7,5 ECTS, depending on length of written output. We hope to see many PhD students from across the Nordic region and the world. Please distribute this information to your relevant networks (and sorry for any cross-posting).
Course structure: independent studies, digital course components and a three-day in-person seminar taking place at Oslo Metropolitan University, Norway, October 3-5, 2022.
Short description: The content of this doctoral study course is based on selected fields of contemporary research in library and information science (LIS). It is designed for Nordic and Baltic LIS doctoral students, but also suitable for doctoral students in LIS in any other part of the world or in related research areas. The course gives a broad presentation of research themes within LIS, aiming to enable the students to place their dissertation project in a library and information science theory and research tradition and to be able to communicate with researchers in the field and other students across sub-academic areas. Through the seminars we will discuss the relationship between library and information science as an area of research and practice. Lectures are delivered by internationally established Nordic researchers and the required literature is inclined to reputable research published in English language. The examination is in the form of an essay closely related to the student's own thesis topic. The course is given in English. Full course description here: https://student.oslomet.no/en/studier/-/studieinfo/emne/PS9300/2022/H%C3%98…
Responsible for the course are Associate professors Gerd Berget, gerdbe(a)oslomet.no<mailto:gerdbe@oslomet.no>, and Terje Colbjørnsen, terjec(a)oslomet.no<mailto:terjec@oslomet.no>. Please reach out if you have questions about the course!
Please submit your application by following the links under Admission requirements, here: https://student.oslomet.no/en/studier/-/studieinfo/emne/PS9300/2022/H%C3%98…
Submission related questions are to be directed to Senior adviser Kersti Ahrén Heløe, kerstih(a)oslomet.no<mailto:kerstih@oslomet.no>.
