Dear Nasrine and all
So sorry to hear this news. Would love to have worked with you.
My thanks to Nasrine and everyone involved for their hard work and collegiality. Hopefully
we can try again. This is an immensely competitive funding mechanism. So it is often a
case of "try and try again", not being too downhearted.
Warm wishes
Angharad

Dear Nasrine,
I was very disappointed for you and your colleagues when I read the letter this morning,
you put in tremendous work to get this proposal over the line. I was very disappointed for
myself also as I had enjoyed our meetings and was really looking forward to working with
this amazing consortium.
I am very happy to support you in this again if you decide to resubmit.
I did note that - Industrial Doctorates (DN-ID): 64 proposals (6.0% of total) and - Joint
Doctorates (DN-JD): 82 proposals (7.7% of total)
I just wonder would it be worth looking at a less competitive stream?
Take care in the meantime and thanks so much for including me.
Best wishes,
Tara

Dear all,
As many of you would have seen, we have a decision about our application, but
unfortunately not the positive outcome that we had hoped for.
I attach both the Decision and the Evaluation Summary Report documents. There are a mix of
comments, with the best score awarded to the implementation criteria.
With 920 applications sent to the same call (see below) I had actually anticipated a high
risk for rejection, but I had hoped for a higher score. Still, it is encouraging that we
have received some very positive comments. Very interested to hear about your thoughts
about any potential next steps, should we improve and resubmit, or not? What do you
think?
Regardless, for me the idea was great and timely, I have thoroughly enjoyed collaborating
with you, and we have formed a wonderful consortium. I also like to add that I personally
learned a lot through this process, Thank You Everyone! and specially Nicola and Tara for
generously sharing your knowledge and experiences about MSCA applications with us.
Best regards,
Nasrine
