Erbjuds forskare och doktorander från IHRA:s medlems-, observatörs- och sambandsländer. Relevanta akademiska discipliner inkluderar bl.a. historia, sociologi, antropologi, arkeologi, statsvetenskap, områdes- eller regionalstudier, kultur-, film-, musik- och bildkonststudier samt litteratur.

Dear Colleagues,

 

I am pleased to announce that applications are now open for an early-career Holocaust research seminar, offered by Israel’s 2025 IHRA Presidency, Yad Vashem and the USC Shoah Foundation.

I would be grateful if you could forward this call to academic and universities in your country working on Holocaust issues. Relevant academic disciplines include but are not limited to history, sociology, anthropology, archaeology, political science, area or regional studies, cultural, film, music and visual art studies, and literature.

 

Apply to early-career Holocaust research seminar - IHRA

This free seminar is designed for PhD students and early-career researchers to deepen their subject expertise, strengthen research and teaching skills, and build an international professional network.

The four-part programme runs from October 2026 to January 2027 and includes online guest lectures, self-paced online learning, and in-person exchange and study at POLIN Museum of the History of Polish Jews in Warsaw. Travel and accommodation for the in-person seminar will be covered.

Participants will engage with internationally respected experts and explore key themes including antisemitism and Nazi ideology, historiography and methodology, primary sources, and the transnational history of the Holocaust.

The deadline to apply is 15 April, and successful applicants will be notified by 15 June. More details are available at the link above.
